In the Acai Supplements Hype - Don't Forget Your Fish Oil
Acai supplements have became hugely popular since it has been widely discussed on the Oprah Winfrey show. It is now widely accepted as one of dietary supplements that you must take on a daily basis.

It is easy to get all hyped up about this supplement especially since it has a platform as powerful as the Oprah Winfrey show. But it is important to keep things in perspective and not forget to take good ol' fish oil.
No other supplement on earth boasts as many health benefits as fish oil does. Its positive effects on Alzheimer's, brain power, cholesterol, free radicals, heart health and sleep don't begin to scratch the surface of what fish oil can do.
Acai Berry
This berry comes from the "tree of life," a Brazilian palm. No question about it, acai berry is a great supplement. It has a high Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC) value, which is what is used to measure a berry's antioxidant capacity. Researchers say that its ORAC value is about three times that of blueberries or grapes, maybe more.
Surely as a potent antioxidant, it is great for fighting off free radicals in the body and may result in greater stamina, energy and youthful appearance. It is also superb for your immune system as it fights off germs and viruses.
In addition to it antioxidant properties, acai has been touted as the number one superfood by Dr. Nicholas Perricone because of its combination of essential fatty acids and fiber.
Unfortunately, many acai sellers have gotten into trouble for the claiming that acai is a great weight loss product. However, it is mere fantasy to believe the pounds are going to come falling off just by taking it.
For starters, some acai supplements, such as the juices, are not 100% pure, but also contain artificial sweeteners. This would negate any purported weight loss benefits acai claims to have.
Secondly, when it comes to true weight loss, things haven't really changed. you need to:
a. Avoid or cut down on carbohydrates and sugars
b. Maintain a healthy diet by eating carbohydrates, healthy fats and proteins in the right proportions.
c. Do fat burning exercise like hill sprints and strength training.
By all means, take acai supplements if you must. But if all you take is quality fish oil pills, the health benefits you receive could far out weight those of acai.
