Super Supplements

Super supplements are great for all people. They are for people who are very athletic and looking for dietary support or for people who are not the most active person but for whom nutrition is important.

Considering the wide variety of dietary health supplements on the market, here are three important ones you should be taking:

1. Fish Oil

If I had to live in the desert and could only take one supplement it would be
fish oil
– hands down. Fish oil remains the best researched, most suggested and most likely to cause major health changes in your body.

Fish oil is definitely a super supplement because of wide range of positive benefits it can have on your body. Some of the more popular ingredients in this supplement are omega-3, Vitamins A, D, E, K, and B complex. Individually, these substances are already useful, but when taken in combination via a fish oil pill, they are a health-boosting powerhouse.

Omega-3 fish oil helps lower bad cholesterol which is a major component of fat deposits in the blood vessels. Along with this, omega-3 fatty acids have been proven to help metabolize fats preventing them from getting stored. These fatty acids are very important because our bodies can not manufacture them.

Vitamin A & E. This nutrient helps in tissue and cell repair.

Vitamin D is needed for proper absorption of dietary calcium. With out it, calcium will just pass through the stomach without getting absorbed by the body.

Actually, there are many more health benefits deriving fromĀ  fish oil consumption including the fact that it is also a good antioxidant. But suffice it to say, if you are serious about your health, taking adequate amounts of fish oil pills is something you must do.

2. Antioxidants

When free radicals form and react with your body, they cause serious damage to the structure of your cells and even kill them. This could lead to a host of major illnesses such as arthritis, cancer and high blood sugar. Even your appearance can be affected in the form of premature aging.

It is estimated that more than 200,000 free radical attacks occur on our bodies daily. One of your body’s best defense against this would be antioxidants.

Whilst the body does have its own defense against this type of attack, it can get overwhelmed. At this point, you need to take a potent supplement with antioxidants to give your body the help it needs.

3. Vitamins & Minerals

These two super supplements are usually offered together in one pill. They are absolutely essential for normal bodily functions, repairing cellular and tissue damageand for healthy eyes, hair, teeth and skin. Some vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin C and selenium are great antioxidants too.

Considering the stress of modern life coupled, poor diet and the declining nutrients found even in healthy foods, taking a quality multivitamin and mineral supplement becomes a no-brainer.

Which Supplement To Take

All three if you can. Getting all three would be a great start to healthy living. There are some suppliers that sell one pill that is a combination of two or more super supplements.

For example, there are dietary health formulas that combine multivitamins, minerals and antioxidants. This may be cheaper than getting each supplement individually.

However, one drawback may be that the potency levels of the combination supplement may not be as high as the collective potency of the individual supplement.

But as mentioned before, the absolute super supplement that you must take is fish oil.
